This is show #54, The Power of the Blues (featuring Rod Piazza and The Mighty Flyers) – for the first part of August, 2008.

Welcome back to the BluzNdaBlood Podcast! Your first stop for the best of the blues!

This is Dave Harrison, coming at ya once again inside the CD filled studio in the Star City of Virginia! Well this show is featuring artists and musicians that I’ve recently seen live! I’m also featuring the music of Rod Piazza and The Mighty Flyers! So you ready to hear the Power of the Blues?  I hope so! Crank it up my friends, we’re off and running!

Well, we started of the show with Rod Piazza and The Mighty Flyers with their tune, Ground Hog Blues. Who else are we gonna hear from? How about Debbie Davies, Wrong Man For Me; Ana Popovic, Is This Everything There Is; The Mannish Boys, These Kind of Blues; Bacon Fat, Wait on It; Rod Piazza, Mellow Down Easy; Rod Piazza and The Mighty Flyers, Chicken Shack Boogie, Spit Shine, Moving In A West Coast Way; Stacy Mitchhart, Keep Bluesn’, The Nighthawks, Born In Chicago; and wrapping up with Watermelon Slim and The Workers, Gearzy’s Boogie.

Special thanks to all the record labels, the artists, and the listeners who helped contribute to the show!  A special thank you always goes out to Michael Allen and the Crossroads Blues Gallery for the excellent artwork that enhances my web pages!

Be sure to swing by the BluzNdaBlood home page! There are new pages that highlight details of the artists that I play! Please come over, click on their albums, and buy some of their tunes! Or e-mail them and let them know you enjoy their music and you hear it on the BluzNdaBlood show!

Special news for everyone! Hey, guess what? The BluzNdaBlood souvenir shop is open! A major portion of the proceeds will go to a foundation that provides funds for medical needs to ailing blues musicians! Absolutely nothing goes into Dave’s pockets! More info on the BluzNdaBlood web site!
