This is show #52, Back to the Business of the Blues – for the first part of July, 2008.

Welcome back to the BluzNdaBlood Podcast! Your first stop for the best of the blues!

This is Dave Harrison, coming at ya once again inside the blues studio in the Star City of Virginia! Well, the party is over! The last two shows have been celebrating our 2 year anniversary! It’s time to Get Back to the Business of the Blues! You strapped in and ready for a real variety of the blues? I hope so! Crank it up my friends, we’re off and running!

Well, we started of the show with Albert Castiglia playing a tune about his old boss Junior Wells with “Godfather Of The Blues” … So, who else will you be hearing other than Albert? How about Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne with Blackberry Wine; Eden Brent, Mississippi Flatland Blues; Mister TBA, Dirty Dog; Michael Burks, Heartless; Doug MacLeod, $50 Wig; Roomful of Blues, Hey Now; Bill Sims and Mark LaVoie, Going Down That Road Feeling Bad; Steve Johnson, Bus Blues; Sandy Carroll, Honey Lovin Gumbo; Marlena and Rosco Gordon, Just A Little Bit; Mississippi John Hurt, Nobody’s Dirty Business; Big Bill Broonzy, Baby, Please Don’t Go; and wrapping up with Watermelon Slim and the Workers brand new tune Call My Job from his new release No Paid Holidays!

Special thanks to all the record labels, the artists, and the listeners who helped contribute to the show!  A special thank you always goes out to Michael Allen and the
Crossroads Blues Gallery for the excellent artwork that enhances my web pages!

Be sure to swing by the BluzNdaBlood home page! There are new pages that highlight details of the artists that I play! Please come over, click on their albums, and buy some of their tunes! Or e-mail them and let them know you enjoy their music and you hear it on the BluzNdaBlood show!

Special news for everyone! Hey, guess what? BluzNdaBlood T-shirts, cups, posters, bags, and lots of other items are coming your way soon! A major portion of the proceeds will go to a foundation that provides funds for medical needs to ailing blues musicians! Absolutely nothing goes into Dave’s pockets! More info on the BluzNdaBlood web site!
