This is show #53, Big Lick Blues Festival Preview Podcast – for the last part of July, 2008.

Welcome back to the BluzNdaBlood Podcast! Your first stop for the best of the blues!

This is Dave Harrison, coming at ya once again inside the blues packed studio in the Star City of Virginia! Well this show is providing a festival preview for the SunTrust Big Lick Blues Festival to be held in Roanoke VA on September 20, 2008 from 2:00 to 9:00 pm. So you ready to get a sample of some Big Lick Blues?  I hope so! Crank it up my friends, we’re off and running!

Well, we started of the show with Shemekia Copeland belting it out with her tune, All About You! Who else are we gonna hear from? How about Chickenwings and Gravy, Walk With Me Baby; Mike Westcott and Blues On Board, Blues in Rockville and Keep the Blues Alive; Hamilton Loomis, Best Worst Day and Workin’ Real Hard; Jimmy Thackery and the Drivers, How Long; Jimmy Thackery and the Cate Brothers, Arky Shuffle; Ana Popovic, Hungry and You Don’t Move Me; and wrapping up with more Shemekia Copeland, I Always Get My Man and Honey Do That Voo-Doo.

Special thanks to all the record labels, the artists, and the listeners who helped contribute to the show!

Be sure to swing by the BluzNdaBlood home page! There are new pages that highlight details of the artists that I play! Please come over, click on their albums, and buy some of their tunes! Or e-mail them and let them know you enjoy their music and you hear it on the BluzNdaBlood show!

Special news for everyone! Hey, guess what? BluzNdaBlood T-shirts, cups, posters, bags, and lots of other items are coming your way soon! A major portion of the proceeds will go to a foundation that provides funds for medical needs to ailing blues musicians! Absolutely nothing goes into Dave’s pockets! More info on the BluzNdaBlood web site!

Please keep in touch! I always enjoy hearing from you! You can e-mail me at dave@bluzndablood.com.
