This is show #75, Nothing Sweeter Than Candye!

Welcome back, my friends! This is Dave Harrison coming at you once again from the blues filled studio in the Star City of Virginia… I’ve got a very special show for you today!

Well, we started off the show with “Superhero”, the title track of the brand new Delta Groove Music CD from the beautiful blues goddess, Candye Kane!

And that’s why this show is called “Nothing Sweeter Than Candye!”…

So, who else are we gonna hear from on show #75? Absolutely no one other than Candye Kane promoting her new CD on Delta Groove called “Superhero”!

And believe it or not, we’ve been able to get Candye to join us on today’s show to talk about her CD, and some of the other challenges that she’s conquered in her life!

Along with the interview, we’ll hear some samples of her great tunes on the brand new Delta Groove Superhero CD! You’ll hear “I’m A Bad Bad Girl”, “Ik Hou Van Je”, I Like ‘Em Stacked Like That”, and “I’m Gonna Be Just Fine”…

A special thank you goes out to Jody Best at Delta Groove! Also Rand Chortkoff for his onging support…

Be sure to swing by the BluzNdaBlood home page! There are hyperlinks to all the great music that you hear on my show! Plus I’ve included hyperlinks to the HART web site that Candye mentions and also the United By Music cause that Candye is so very passionate about!

This is show #74, Make Mine a Double!

Welcome back, everybody! Well, after doing the last show, I had a terrible time picking songs because there were way too many great tunes to pick from!  While working on this show, it suddenly hit me! Why not go for the same artists as last show but picking more of their great tunes! So we’re doubling up on the tunes and that’s the name of the show! Make Mine A Double! So are you ready to hear more great tunes from the artists that were featured last show and a tribute to Koko Taylor? I hope so! Crank it up my friends, we’re off and running!

Well, we started off the show with Albert Castiglia playing Blues For Evan!

So, who else are we gonna hear from on show #74? How about Zac Harmon, Hattie Mae; Dennis Jones, Hot Sauce; Rod Piazza and the Mighty Flyers Blues Quartet, That’s What Knocks Me Out; Delta Wires, Monkey Man; Nicole Hart, The Other Side Of The World; Rocky Jackson, Treats Me Like A Dog; Eden Brent, Mississippi Flatland Blues; Candye Kane, Ik Hou Van Je; The Insomniacs, Root Beer Float; Jason Ricci & New Blood, Sweet Loving; Kid Ramos and Los Fabulocos, Burnin’ the Chicken; and wrapping up with the late Queen of the Blues, Koko Taylor, singing Stop Watchin Your Enemies!

Hey, this month I’m asking everyone to swing by Nicole Hart’s web site and donate some money to help offset Lance’s medical bills! Click here to by a part of a great thing! Please do what you can!

Also, I promised to have some hyperlinks to some more blues shows that I listen to and enjoy! We’re not competitors! You can’t have enough blues music, folks! Check out The Blues Files with WXPN  and The Uncensored History of the Blues! Spread the word, blues brothers and sisters!
